Why should I consider volunteering for this ministry?
There are a couple of reasons you should consider doing so: (1) If you are a member, you have made a commitment to assist parents in giving nurture and admonition unto the Lord. (2) This is a great service opportunity. Husbands and wives can serve together. College roommates and friends can serve together. Community groups (or a group from one) can choose to serve together. (3) You will be blessed in serving the children who come on Sundays. (4) We are taking steps to make this more than simple childcare. We are implementing curriculum that is easy to use and will provide good biblical learning for our children.
What should I take into consideration before signing up?
There are a couple of things to keep in mind: (1) Do you have a preference where you serve? Infants or Toddlers? 2-yr Olds or 3-yr Olds? Pre-K through 2nd grade in Children's Church? (2) Also, do you have a preference of which service you serve in versus which service you worship in? We would encourage you to serve in one service and then attend worship in the other. (3) Do you already have plans to be out of town? Obviously you will want to have those date in mind as you sign up. (4) How much are you willing to serve? We would love to have folks signup for up to a month at a time. But if you would prefer to serve 1 or 2 or 3 Sundays that is encouraged also. We are delighted you are willing to serve period. The amount and frequency is up to you.
