Becoming a member of Redeemer is a simple 3-step process.
First, attend an Introducing Redeemer seminar. This seminar is usually offered twice on a quarterly basis (8 times a year). In order to find out the next offerings, contact Pastor Matt Grimsley (865-454-1619 | Email). The seminar is a great introduction to Redeemer. It allows you to meet others who are also relatively new to Redeemer. It gives you an opportunity to engage the pastors and elders as the seminar is conducted. Your questions and thoughts are encouraged. And best of all, taking Introducing Redeemer is safe. There are no sales tactics, no pressure to join. Take it and then you decide if you want to go farther.
Second, have an extended interview with two of our pastors and elders. This interview covers among other things: your conversion to Christ, your present journey with Christ, getting connected at Redeemer, membership vows, and any questions you may have about Redeemer.
The final step is to take the vows of membership with incoming new members during a worship service.
If you would like to know more about the vows members take, check out "The Commitment". You will find each vow stated with a brief explanation of what it means and involves.
