Who We Are

Redeemer is a community of people trying to learn how to love God and how to love our neighbor.  We believe that Jesus is the embodiment of love and he has proven it through his life death, resurrection and promised return.

So every week we gather to worship him. And as we worship Him we rest in His great love for us. And as we rest in and remind one another of that love- we delight to gather in community in order to remind one another of God's great love for us in Jesus.  And as we rest and remind one another of God's love we then become a people whose desire is to gather in service in order to reflect his love to our neighbors in urban and university Knoxville.

Worship | Sundays 8:45AM and 11:00AM

Our worship service generally lasts an hour and 15 minutes.  We are a liturgical church, meaning that our services follow a certain pattern that connects Sunday to Sunday and our church to churches of the past through responsive readings, prayer and worship.

Redeemer has children's programming for children from infant through 2nd grade during our service. Learn more about our Children's Ministry Here

Sunday School | Sundays 10:00AM

We have four 6 to 8 week Sunday School sessions throughout the year with classes for all ages.

Twice a year, we offer our Introducing Redeemer Class during the Sunday School hour.  This class is an introduction to our church. It’s a great way to get to know about Redeemer and meet others at our church. It also serves as a pathway to membership.

Please check our calendar for information on upcoming classes.
